Jim Mullins, author, nonprofit executive and leadership coach, brings you a quick and easy way to incorporate thought-provoking ideas and best practices into your current business opportunities. This illustrated gem offers one profound pair of observations–the chump’s way and the champ’s way–for every week of the year. These proverbs can help you gain perspective, focus clearly, determine priorities and inspire excellence. Use them for: staff development • speeches • writing projects • everyday inspiration.
From the Preface
“Champs” are those who elicit our best just by being and doing what they are and do. “Chumps” are those whose attitudes, thoughts and actions make us wince. I have written the proverbs using champs and chumps antiphonally, that is, in response to each other. It is my hope that you will be able to recall persons and events easily by comparing the two. And, I hope that Catrina Harris’ illustration choices will draw you into reflecting on what you really wish to do, say and be in different situations.
The 52 proverbs–one for each week of the year–do not appear in a particular sequence. Pick one, read it carefully, and let the words and pictures elicit the best from you. Then spend the week as a champ!
